My name is Alexander and I have been a SIB member for two years already. Since September 22 I am an active member in the Cinemates Society and recently, I took over the role of Chair of the society. The society is an active and well participated society of friends who like to visit movies and most of the time we also combine that with a nice social site event. Personally I like the combination of passion for movies and the informal but sometimes also substantive and critical discussions of the movie experience together. For me it is important to keep the society open and democratic so I am open to new ideas within the group of society members. As chair I am the person who facilitates that process.

Every month, we meet together for a film screening that will be democratically chosen according to YOUR wishes. Here at SIB, societies are made for you to feel involved in the process and make sure you have fun! You are the reason for this adventure to exist in the first place!
Cinemates is not just about going to the movie theatre together, it is also about sharing our passion and love for the big screen. Therefore, before or after each monthly screening, we will organize fun gatherings such as dinner, drinks and more.
Do you fancy independent films or blockbusters? Do you like new modern movie theatres or old dusty cinemas? No worries! With Cinemates, we try to make sure that everyone finds what one wants.
