SIB Visit to Clingendael Institute

On the 19th of December, SIB Amsterdam is invited to visit one of the leading think tanks in the Netherlands – The Clingendael Institute. The Clingendael Institute is the Netherlands Institute for International Relations, an independent think tank that focuses on international affairs to ensure a secure, sustainable, and just world.
The institute consists of a research section and a diplomacy academy. The research section is home to 46 experts, that conduct in-depth research on 8 themes, among which are Security and Defense, Europe and the World, Trade and Globalization, Migration, and Sustainability. The academy represents one of the largest training centers for international diplomacy around the world.
With SIB’s visit to the institute, you have the opportunity to have an insight into the work of the institute, to ask questions to its different departments concerning their work and their research, and to explore a place at the forefront of academic research on international affairs.
This visit is tailored specifically for SIB and a few other organizations to offer you unique insights into the institute. If you are interested in working within research or in entering the world of diplomacy, this is a great opportunity to talk with people that have chosen these paths!
The agenda for our visit looks as follows:
13.00 – 13.30 Arrival with lunch
13.30 – 14.00 Introduction and short presentation of the Clingendael Institute
14.00 – 15.00 Meet & Greet with interns from different departments of the institute
15.00 – 15.15 Clingendael Quiz
15.30 End of the program
